Great Beginnings to

Healthy & Safe Smiles

Dr. Laura, Dr. Rachel and the entire GBPD team are truly looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces. Social and dental distancing has been difficult for all of us! We would like to reassure you that we are doing all we can to provide dental health in a safe, kind and caring setting. Although we’d love to give you hugs and high fives, our new GBPD greeting will have you grinning from ear to ear!

Virtual Waiting Room

We will be checking in appointments through our new texting system.
When you arrive for your scheduled appointment, we kindly ask that you
check in from your car by texting your child’s first name, last initial and
scheduled appointment time to 330-886-4598. A team member will
respond and let you know when it’s time to come into the office. What
does this really mean? Your car is now the waiting room!

Safety First

Upon entering the office, everyone will have their temperature taken with
a scanning thermometer. The new office policy will be that anyone displaying fever of 100 degrees or more will be kindly asked to reschedule.

Social Distancing in Our World

To ensure the safety of our patients, parents and team members, we are in the process of converting to a 100% paper-free office! This means that 48 hours prior to your child’s appointment we ask that all required paperwork that was emailed to you is completed and sent back to us. After your child’s appointment any follow-up receipts or paperwork will be emailed to you.

Apple Pay, Google Pay, HSA and credit cards will be the way to go, as we are no longer accepting cash or checks. As always, if you have any questions please feel free to contact

Infection Control & PPE

Dr. Laura and Dr. Rachel have truly taken all considerations to create a safe and healthy environment in the office. As a community we are all now wearing our own PPE. As a healthcare provider there is PPE that is easily recognized, such as face shields, masks and gloves. As a safe dental home there are systems and processes that are not visible to the eye, such as our filtration system and disinfection process. However, this is of utmost importance in order to continue to treat our families at the level of care they have been accustomed to.

Infection Control & PPE

Your child’s safety has always been and will continue to be our top priority! We have always been ahead of the curve in our treatment philosophies: prevention, nutrition, airway and minimally invasive dentistry. Healthy eating and quality sleep will always support our bodies’ best immune response — dental disease included! What at the time may have seemed novel and innovative, will now be the standard of care.

What this means for your child?

Why Laser Dentistry?

We are one of a few select pediatric dental offices in northeast Ohio who have been working with a CO2 laser for many years! Now more than ever the utilization of the laser in our office is going to be instrumental in our defense against decay.

Whole-Office Air Purification

GBPD Now Has a Medical-Grade Second Wind UV Light Purifer and Filtration System.

While this is not something you will see with your eyes, it will make a huge impact on keeping the air you breathe while at GBPD clean and safe. This system removes mold, bacteria, viruses and odors.

Partition in the Hygiene Bay

While we love our open bay concept in allowing families to be seen at the same time, we will now have partitions between each chair. Don’t worry, you will still be able to see each child and they will be able to see one another!

New Normal

Means New Rules

Wear a Mask

In the past you wouldn’t have found our front desk to be wearing masks, but don’t be surprised when you come back to GBPD. We kindly ask that our parents/legal guardians/caregivers also come wearing a mask. This could be a traditional mask, a bandana or even a scarf!

Get Creative with Your Child’s Eye Protection

Keeping your child’s eyes protected has always been our priority! In an
effort to reduce any sharing of germs, please bring a pair of your own sunglasses, swim goggles, ski goggles, scuba mask (let your chid get creative) to their appointment.guardians/caregivers also come wearing a mask. This could be a traditional mask, a bandana or even a scarf!

Visitor Restrictions

While we love seeing as many smiling faces as we can, ONLY patients with scheduled appointments along with ONE parent/guardian will be allowed in the office. We realize this might be challenging, but to comply with state mandates this is r quired!

Here are a few things you can do on your own to keep yourself and those around you healthy:

We are taking every precaution to keep our patients, families, and staff safe and healthy. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
